Hello Cuddle Cove fam!! Apologies for the silence over the weekend - we have both been dealing with a busy schedule, and Law has had some mental health/burnout they are dealing with. Wanted to quickly check in and update you guys on the smoke test that was supposed to go out... for some reason Backerkit is still reviewing our setup, we are going to double check in a couple more business days, HOPEFULLY we can get a smoke test sent out this week, because I REALLY want to get surveys sent out!! 

PIXEL SAMPLE: 

Don't panic about his color! What do you think of the curly fur though? We personally LOVE the curls - it helps him look SO much more like a poodle! However, this was the only "teal-ish" color our manufacturer had, so we are requesting for them to special order a brighter teal just for Pixel!! Something else they changed were his arm sockets! How they lay against his side is soooo much better! Here are some things we are going to change on the next sample:

🧂 - his fur color once we figure out what they can order for us
🧂 - face embroidery will change to eyes OPEN + nose bright teal to brighten up his face
🧂 - his chest, arm, and leg puffs more stuffed looking hopefully
🧂 - in general his arms/paws also thicker and more plush

What are your thoughts so far? I know he has been super tricky, I'm hoping we can get him done relatively soon!! We will also be starting the rest of the samples after the Chinese Labour day! 

ECLAIR CHANGES:

Due to our manufacturer not having a multitude of different shade lavenders, nothing truly fit Eclair's original sketch - however, I have adjusted her colors to match a more "rosy" profile, matching actual swatches our manufacturer has... would love to see what you guys think! I also tweaked her eyes just a touch to add a little embellishment hehe

We are currently working on all the rest of the critters to get them ready for sample creation, and we have photos of physical Audie and Porsha about to go up on our IG! (@thechroniccritters)

I should have Salem the Service Puppy's sample ready to send out tomorrow for you guys to see!!

CARDS:

Just wanted to check in - we FINALLY have some sample updates of Pixel the Poodle, and Salem the Service Puppy!! We just need to add edits to the photos, there are still a couple more tweaks until they are perfect!! We should be sending out photos of those samples hopefully tomorrow!! For now I wanted to address that we still have 45 PENDING payments totaling $4,744. Just a reminder that if your card is not charged/updated, you will not be able to receive your pledge. For those with payment plans, this does not apply to you! 

Backerkit should be retrying and sending out emails about failed payments - please look through spam + other emails to see if you have gotten any or confirm if you have been charged! If you are having trouble updating your payment, or are not sure about if yours went through, please email us at [email protected] 

I had a few people have it declined as fraud, so double check that! They were allowed to delete their card and re-add it, and that seemed to fix it! 

SURVEYS:

We are currently getting our surveys approved by the Backerkit team, and then will PROCEED with Smoke Testing!! Smoke tests are when the surveys go out to 5% of Backers to ensure they are reading properly. Once we are ready to send out the smoke tests, we will send out another update so you can make sure to check if you are one who gets a survey!

Hi everyone!! Thank you so much for your continued patience as we continue to let cards process, and get surveys ready to send out. First thing first: we finally figured out where to change the date for when preorders "expire". For example, to give Pay Over Time folks to also get their surveys in and add a plushie that wasn't unlocked! We have it set for July currently, but we CAN change it, so we will continue monitoring, and push it further if it needs to be done. I believe that we can easily hit the 25 preorder goals for each one ONCE surveys go out, that will be when the true numbers flood in.

Lastly, I wanted to share a FEW mockup charts that I created so you can get a better look at fabric samples we will try first, what is removable, etc. Anything that you see on these charts will be subject to change, these fabric samples are NOT final, so please don't panic if it isn't the exact color, we will have plenty of time for adjustments once samples are ordered! Please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions though ❤️ I will try to get the rest done asap! For sure before we order the rest of the samples.

Apologies for the silence over the last few days, we have been recovering from constant posting and celebrating the campaign finally being over! YAY! 🎊 We are SO grateful for everyone who has participated, given feedback, helped us make changes, etc. We are so excited about how many people we have reached, and how much love we have received. Even if just a handful of people feel seen or not alone with what they have to deal with, it will be enough 🥰  with that being said, I wanted to go over some more details on what will be happening over the next few months!!

Roadmap for April:

04/10: campaign ended, pledges start processing cards. Any FAILED payments will be retried by Backerkit every few days or until you update your card information if it is wrong. 

Preorder store: open at least until end of May, we will possibly extend if necessary. (Backers DO NOT place an order in the preorder store or you'll be charged twice for shipping. Orders DO NOT automatically combine)

04/24: backers are no longer able to correct any failed payments. Backers are imported into the pledge manager, survey smoke test goes out to 5% of backers to make sure everything is working correctly.

04/25: All surveys go out (unless you're on a payment plan). These will remain open until all prototypes are finalized so you can edit/add/remove items at any time!

04/26: project funds are available to us, and we can order remaining prototypes of all the characters!
